Mercie Animal Welfare Foundation
Mercie Foundation is built on the timeless Jain principle: "Parasparopagraho Jīvānām"—all life is bound together by mutual support and interdependence. Founded by Barkha Vikas Pincha, Mercie Foundation is a nationwide movement committed to protecting voiceless animals, promoting cruelty-free living, and empowering those who dedicate their lives to animal welfare. From the streets of Mumbai to gaushalas across India, we are turning compassion into action—through awareness, infrastructure, funding, and a growing community of changemakers we call the Mercie Army.

At Mercie Foundation, we envision a world where compassion is not an exception, but the norm—a world where every living being is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We are building more than an organization—we are creating a "Mercie Army"—a collective of compassionate individuals, feeders, rescuers, and changemakers united by one purpose: to protect and serve the voiceless. We dream of a nation where: • No animal sleeps hungry • No animal is left abandoned on the streets • Every district has access to proper animal healthcare We are working towards building animal hospitals across India, with ongoing efforts in Mumbai, Nagpur, and Gorakhpur. At the same time, we envision creating India's largest cruelty-free bag brand—a symbol of conscious living, where fashion aligns with compassion.
Our Mission
Our mission is to turn compassion into action—at scale, with consistency, and with impact. Through Mercie Vegan Bags, we replace products rooted in animal cruelty with ethical, eco-friendly solutions. We actively support Dhyaan Foundation, contributing to the care and protection of animals across 50+ gaushalas in India. Key initiatives: → Global & National Awareness Through Fashion International ramp walks twice a year + monthly district-level events across India → Supporting Animal Welfare Heroes Bi-monthly fundraising and award ceremonies for rescuers, feeders, and gau rakshaks → Education & Early Awareness Spreading compassion in schools and institutions across India → Building a Cruelty-Free Nation A nationwide movement to make India a cruelty-free society
